Cocktail Trolley

Year: 2024
Client: Catalina Rose Bay

Designed for Catalina, Rose Bay, to mark the restaurant's 30th anniversary in 2024.

Opened in 1994 by Judy and Michael McMahon, Catalina has long balanced refined dining with an easy Australian spirit, set against the harbour at Rose Bay. To celebrate three decades, the restaurant introduced a dessert cocktail service, pairing drinks such as the Catalina Signature Espresso Martini with the close of the meal.

The bespoke trolley brings this service directly to the table. Its body is constructed from aluminium plate, enclosed by a fluted glass front and illuminated from within by integrated LED lighting. A marble top provides a working surface for preparation, while bespoke resin handles, produced by the studio, complete the piece.

The design pairs the precision of a working tool with the warmth and polish of a classic hospitality object, turning the final course into a moment of tableside theatre.
