Pallas Light

The Pallas light was created as an atmospheric wall light for use in restaurants, bars and hotels. The design of the light represented a search for texture, warm and indirect light during the development of the Margaret project. The design team established the brief once it had been decided to use a textured render on the wall surfaces. Indirect light would highlight this finish and so the search began for an appropriate product.

The studio decided to undertake both the design and production of Pallas. It was decided to use a ceramic material for the fascia in order to achieve some translucency and allow the light to come through.

Caon Design Office approached Studio Enti to help us develop ceramic fascia parts. A challenging component due to its size, many rounds of prototypes were required before the desired result was achieved.

Pallas has since been used in other projects by friends and colleagues but has not been put into production.
